On-demand hybrid therapy for depression.

Hi!

We’re Estepha & Kimberley Francisque.

We created Forward Ethos to help you move forward, starting right now. We are a husband and wife team. We are mental health advocates and community development professionals. We’ve been doing this work to help people move forward for over 10 years, which is how we actually first met.

We are fiercely passionate about moving people towards a rich and fulfilling life. We’ve spent the last few years doing this through a thriving, inclusive counseling practice in Northern California.

But, we could only help so many people each week. More people have been reaching out for therapy than we could possibly help. It’s hard for many to find affordable therapy that affirms who they are, whoever they are, regardless of race, gender, ability, belief system, or neurotype.

That’s why we took the time to painstakingly create a detailed, step-by-step course to help you through depression, because we believe you shouldn’t have to wait to get help when you need it.

Start now doing what you need to build the life you want.

This instant on-demand hybrid therapy course ensures that logistics, high expenses and voicemails get out of the way so you can get the help you need.

This is the same treatment plan we use with one-on-one clients based on research-proven, evidence-based treatment practices to ensure our clients are progressing every. single. session.

To ensure you’re making progress, we track your symptoms regularly throughout this course and chart your progress.

So what can you get from
our on-demand depression course?

 Frequently Asked Questions

+ What are the advantages of taking a therapy course?

Though this is not a substitute for full therapy, this method does offer convenience and flexibility. Doing this course is ideal for someone who is not yet comfortable with therapy, has no access to it, or can't afford it for the long term. This allows you to pursue your mental wellness at your own pace and in a way that is most comfortable for you.

+ How much time should I spend on one session every week?

The time you spend on each session will vary by your level of investment. We design the course to be easy to use and manageable. Each session can be completed in 10-30 minutes if you move through it quickly, but if you decide to be more contemplative, each session will take at least an hour to fully unpack, and each skill should be given about a week of practice to insulate.

+ How is the material available online?

The course lessons are delivered via our course members area. You will log into the members area, where you can access video instruction and skill sessions. Practice assignments are also included at the end of each lesson. If you purchase a module, you will receive a password for your chosen course, which you will receive upon purchase. (Please note, we offer the courses in modules to allow for increased affordability; however, the course is designed to be progressive. Each module builds upon the last, so it is recommended that you purchase your courses sequentially if you choose to go module by module to get the most out of your purchase).

+ Is this course interactive?

Though this course is personally engaging. It is designed to be an independent experience. This course follows the treatment plan we use with one-on-one therapy clients. It is designed to be deeply personal, just as individual therapy would be. With this in mind, interaction with others is intentionally left out to promote privacy and help maximize your self-discovery and healing.

+ What is a typical schedule for this course?

This course is self-paced, allowing you to set your own schedule and move at your desired pace. If you require accountability sign up for our weekly newsletter to be a weekly reminder to get back to your healing process. (You can also set a weekly recurring appointment with yourself to ensure you won't forget. And if, you ignore the reminder, invite someone that you know won't let you quit.)

+ What are some of the challenges for taking this ?

One drawback to this course is that it is self-guided, which means it relies on you and your motivation. We also know that once you begin to feel better ,you'll probably feel less compelled to do it. Because of this, we ask you to assign an accountability person, someone you let know that you are doing an important project that you must complete and ask that they set a reminder to help you finish. This outer accountability is only necessary if you know you have a tendency to ignore reminders, which can be a symptom of depression.

Another drawback is not having a dedicated therapist. We understand this, and we have designed the course to ensure that you receive all the skills and ease of use as if you did have a full therapist. Our therapist has been trained in countless modalities using a wide range of therapeutic practices in order to help you heal. Text therapy is currently popular, but lacks the depth and comprehensiveness of our treatment plan. We argue that having a therapist who is able to give you a quality personalized evidence-based experience is better for your healing than one who is inexperienced and burnt out.

For this reason we created this course to empower you with the information and care you need to truly heal, rather than being in an endless cycle of therapy that does not offer substantive change. This by no means takes away from the power of full therapy if you are able to afford and access a well-trained licensed therapist who is fully able to see and meet your full needs. This is always the best option.

+ Can I access all my courses?

You will be able to access your course in perpetuity so long as you are valid user of the course you purchased.

+ What if I have technological difficulties?

Then contact us through our Contact page to address technical problems you may encounter with our courses.
